Welcome to Vision FX! Our Discovery Bay Practice blends the most advanced exam technologies with the finest in frame fashions. We have been serving the Discovery Bay area since 2009. We are very accessible to patients from many cities in the area. Comprehensive Eye Exams
Our eye exams include a full examination of the visual acuity, visual performance and the health of your eyes. We employ automated testing equipment, computerized acuity testing, and ocular imaging. We also provide Pediatric Eye Care.

Our Doctors
Dr. Ricks and Dr. Atwal have extensive experience evaluating and managing eye health and prescribing customized eyeglasses and contact lenses. Our doctors use the latest technologies to provide comprehensive eye exams, accurate prescriptions and the best treatments for each patient's needs. Dr. Atwal and Dr. Ricks are both originally from Northern California and received their Optometry Doctorate degrees from UC Berkeley.
Contact Lenses
We prescribe and supply all types of contact lenses, including specialty lenses. We work with soft lenses, color lenses, gas permeable lenses and a variety of specialty hybrid lenses.

We have been serving the Discovery Bay Area since 2009. We are conveniently located off Highway 4, very accessible to patients from many cities in the area. Our practice is only minutes away from Brentwood, Byron, Knightsen, Bethel Island, Oakley, and Mountain House.

This place ROCKS! I recently relocated to the area and was weary about finding an eye Dr. that I would like. Dr. Atwal is GREAT! He is funny and personable. The office assistant is great, informative and friendly. I would definitely recommend this office to friends and family. The price I paid for my contacts are a little more than I am used to, but not too much. Great place to get your eyes taken care of.

Vision Fx in Discovery Bay is hands down the best eye exam experience I have ever had.nYes, it was really that good. I recently moved into the Mountain House and seriously needed a pair of glasses. The old glasses just weren't cutting it anymore for my daily drive into the bay area. The great service really started from the phone call. I always mess up my insurance information; since, they all sound the same... VSP, ESP or eyemed or usually a mix of the words vision eye medical. It was a super simple process here. Honestly, looking up my benefits is worse than the dilation drops Dr Atwal used. They were really in tune with the cutting edge technology. He took so many different types pictures of my eyes, I seriously could have started a facebook page for them. It's nice to know if anything comes up in the future we have something to compare with. Most importantly Dr. Atwal took the time to explain things in a way that makes sense to real people. The staff was great, I picked out a pair of Oakley optical frames that looked super cool. Based on her recommendation, I got a special coating to maximize vision when driving back home at night. Best spectacles I have ever had! These optometrist are worth the 15 minute drive from Brentwood or Tracy. They have a brand new facility with the newest eye exam equipment. I will certainly be back with my parents for their vision examination when they are here to visit. JB

Informative Doctors (Dr. Atwal and Dr. Ricks). It appears that both the doctors are pretty sharp, friendly and helpful. Smaller selection of glasses than most eye glass stores, but good pre-selected styles at reasonable prices.
